    application for naturalisation as a british citizen

    we are going for this hopefully very early next month, this means Ems has been in this country just over the 3 year period, she landed july 29th 2010, how time goes by very quickly,
    Anyway back to what i am asking, in the form AN section 5 REFEREES AND IDENTITY, it state one person should have a professional standing and it list a few but it also states that this person should have known Ems for at least 3 years, can anyone help in this matter, or point me in the right direction, the second referee is no problem hes a work colleague,

    - Commissioner of Oaths
    - Councillor (local or county)
    - Civil servant (permanent)
    - Dentist
    - Director/Manager of a VAT-registered charity
    - Director/Manager/HR Officer of a VAT-registered company
    - Doctor
    - Engineer (with professional qualifications)
    - Financial services intermediary (eg a stockbroker or insurance broker)
    - Fire Service official
    - Funeral director
    - Insurance agent (full time) of a recognised company
    - Journalist
    - Justice of the Peace
    - Legal secretary (fellow or associate member of the Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs)
    - Licensee of public house
    - Local government officer
    - Member, associate or fellow of a professional body
    - Member of Parliament
    - Merchant Navy officer
    - Minister of a recognised religion (including Christian Science)
    - Nurse (RGN and RMN)
    - Officer of the armed services (active or retired)

    Not sure if Emma is a churchgoer, but many folks choose that as a starting point.

    Or Doctor. That's also a popular chooice. (Doesn't need to be a GP or even Medical)

    Yes Steve as Peter says, ask your doctor also my suggestion would be Bank Manager or one of the nurses at Em's work!

    hopfully a nurse may be the one but we shall have to wait and see
