Is not marriage an open question, when it is alleged, from the beginning of the world, that such as are in the institution wish to get out, and such as are out wish to get in?

I need Prof. Alan to rephrase this please....
Sounds more like cricket to me
If non of it makes sense, then it is about marriage
What we dont have we want, and when we get it - we regret it
I think yhilres should explain really - but - as far as I can deduce - from the beginning of time - being married is all about getting in and out.
Reminds me of the wisened epithet:
He offered him honour,
She honoured his offer,
And all night long,
It was honour and offer.
Al.
Sorry - first line should read thus:
He offered HER honour.
Naughty boy Alan tut tut tut
Yea i know what it means .... i just need some polishing or some icing ......thanks Prof. Alan.
