    well we have all the docs she as asked us to bring so i cannot see a problem, going to book a holiday now dont know where to but everywhere sounds great to me

    Sir can i ask you if its a must that we live in one house with husband when applying for citizenship sir? Hope you can sort of give me an idea about this.. Thanks

    Once you have ILR (Independent Leave to Remain) you can live with whoever you like and where you like! ...in order to get citizenship you must alreasdy have ILR.

    Another thing lordna, will it not affect my citizenship application if we NO longer live in the same house with my husband? Thank you.

    Well i am no expert but....looking at the UKBA website, if your still married to a British citizen you must have been resident here at least 3 years to be eligable for citizenship. It doesn't say you have to live at the ame address.

    Hopefully terpe will see your post who has detailed knowledge of all the rules and can probably better answer your query.

    You're correct Lordna.. as long as still married the the 3 years residence eligibility applies.
    Once divorced it no longer applies.

    Makes no difference who the applicant is living with or without
