    Today's Good News

... former BBC veteran broadcaster, Stuart Hall has had his fifteen-months' jail sentence - for a series of indecent assaults - doubled by the Court of Appeal.

Increasing the sentence to 21/2 years, Lord Chief Justice *Judge (most appropriate *name! ) said that he considered the original term of imprisonment imposed, had been "unduly lenient" ... given the serious nature of Hall's offences and their resultant impact on
    his victims.

Dedworth ... I realise you've already imparted the "glad tidings" on an earlier thread, but felt this latest development merited a thread of its own.

    Absolutely Arthur

And it will be even better news when we hear of him getting his first battering from other inmates

Increased solely by stealth, by having sentences run consecutively instead of concurrently.
Still in did result in an extended sentence.
Seems sentences must comply with the law at the time of the offences. Disgrace
    Needs changing

2.5 years is still a joke. The nonce should be in the slammer for the rest of his days.
