What I might do is fly out on the Friday and return on the Sunday now there's a 30 day visa. Can't take much more than 3 weeks off work so it looks like a 23 dayer if my maths are correct.

Looks like the cheap Cathay flights are departing LHR at 17:15 and arriving at NAIA evening rush hour time. Not ideal but having arrived on a Saturday at this time before, it's not that bad. Would prefer arriving early but hey, can't complain at these prices.

Need to get the early morning flight on the Sunday though. Gets in at LHR at 3pm roughly which gives me enough time to get back to Brum.

Was originally going to fly from Birmingham with China Southern too with prices around £500 but I think this would work out better at around the same price should I get the preferred flights. Thanks again Marco.
