Varies, really ...... depending on several factors ... such as the number of passengers disembarking from long distance flights, how many immigration staff there are on duty at any given time, the speed with which staff work their way through queues of arrivals and so forth ... mindful of the problems [some] people present in clearing customs.

arrived safe and sound--early--but immigration etc took an hour. pity the m25 was down to one lane at j10--my turn off.--portsmouth. so missed the last ferry of sat night--3 hour wait for ist on sunday. hey ho--the joy of living on an island.
