Travellers should not be allowed to "trash the green belt" and councils should be able to shut down unauthorised encampments more quickly, the local government secretary has said.

might be rather more effective if the government made such trespass a criminal offence like it is in Ireland.

Is he saying that these non tax paying scumbags are entitled to apply for a loan to buy land.
