    the youth of today

whats happened to the good neighbors, where have they gone too, it seems you get kids in the houses now who seems to have no idea how to live without loud music all night long and shouting at the top of the voices and every other word is fffff,
I think i am a good neighbor not too much noise and after 10pm the sounds go down even more, but hey ho, only 60 plus months to suffer

Try living near a building full of uni students Steve.
I can be lying in bed at 1am with the windows closed and can still hear their music.

It's a good thing our village only have a few teenagers (our village's residents are mostly old and/or disabled people)..they only go out to their gardens when it's sunny with some of their friend coming over..But sometimes I hate it when they sit under the tree just outside our back garden and all they do there is shout and laugh and curse a lot. I don't mind the young kids (probably aged 12 and below) who do the shouting and laughing while playing..but you don't expect that with teenagers.

Good post this Steve and you're right whats happened to the good neighbours.

I am only 43 Steve but still remember the days where you knew each and every neighbour but now most don't even know the names from next door and the times where everybody used to go to each others homes especially New Years eve.

God it makes me feel old even in the prime of my life but also saddened at society today, even though were we live in a quiet area with people still here in our cul-de-sac living over 50 years in same property from my parents and grandparents days.

I just wish things could stay that way but like me Steve as soon as Jamie is nationalised I think we will be making a move as well my idea Spain (hopefully things will pick up there in he future) then off to the Phils for retirement.

Once again mate good luck to your wife Ems in her application...
