Timing of VISA Application please Advise me.

Hi guys.
I have made a plan of events to help get my head around the Visa application; timing & sending of my documents & my wife applying for the VIP service at the VFS and paying the fee.
Please see the graph below.

Summary:
26th September > Pay Slip
27th Septmber > Go to Bank and get a "Statement with that salary shown" signed / dated by bank.
30th September > Post my documents via DHL.

Option 1.
My wife applies on line for VIP service and VFS and pays online before my documents arrive; giving us more time to arrange that trip and interview.

Giving her 17 - 18 days before the dead line.

OR

Option 2.

11th October >Estimated time documents will arrive.
12th Otober > Applies to the VFS.

Given her 13 days before the DEAD line of next pay slip.

What do you guys advise?
What is the average time from apply to VFS to getting the interview?

Hi John, I believe the questions raised have been covered in your other posts.
The date of application is the date when the payment is made. Your key documents relating to the Financial Requirement must be dated no earlier than 28 days before then

Timing of visit to VFS is not then such a time critical element relating to evidence eligibility.

If I understand correctly you are saying:
Key points> Date of application of Visa an payment must have all documents NO older than 28 days.
AND that even my wife gets an interview after the date of my next pay slip its still ok because she applied when my latest documents were all up to date. Am I thinking correct here Terpe?

Of course we dont attend the least bit to dealy this process!

Yes, that's it.
Everything depends on the date at application (date payment is made)

I recall that there's a limit on application validity before submission of docs at VFS, but just can't remember what that is. I doubt it's very short.
Anyway, book the appointment with VFS when it best suits, but don't leave it too long.

Maybe somebody knows what the current timings are these days.
