Yes, I'm afraid so. They sell it here in the 'Fish and chip shops'. I tried it once, never again!!!

Yay!!! Where can we buy it Tom? I really missed the balut. Hope some of the Brit will like it, too!

I would not in the least be surprised if your local jobsworth from the health would dye it blue and condemn it as unfit for human consumption...
Well deserving of a medal on this occasion...
Having been the victim of salmonella in the past, I see Balut as a potential risk.

But be my guest, be merry.... I know for a fact that I would not like, even, to try it... Call me "chicken" if you want....

Somehow I cannot see it taking over from the even unedibly worse Kebabs after a night out....

    Now....
Crispy pata would be welcome in my place.... any time...

Shops in Earls court have had balut and even our local store in the past. But i know our local store has to be ever so careful with the health and safety peeps from the council. Due to some of the products sold baluck a luck and all that being a bit odd to most.

Looks like "Papa Andys rice pudds" is needed to save the pinoy palate from missing out on the great brit dish of rice pudd.

I would just be happy to sell rice to Phill a bit like selling Ice to an Eskimo or sand to a arab

Well From reading this any Englishman going to the Philippines is in for a treat. They even have a Philippine version of bloody pudding, but served as a soup. go to the market and you can get all those delicious cuts you crave, fryers, tripe, feet, brains, tongues ,and ears...
