Northamptonshire Steelbacks have been crowned Friends Life t20 champions.

David Willey took a stunning hat-trick as they overcame massive odds to hammer Surrey by 102 runs in the final at Edgbaston this evening, having already seen off Essex Eagles by seven-wickets in convincing fashion earlier in the day.
