To be quite honest i am not suprised nobody wants to display it. As a piece of sculpture its not attractive nor does it really seem to represent the twin towers. Just looks like a pile of twisted metal.

Just because its a 9/11 memorial doesn't make it a good piece of sculpture people want to look at or display.

A piece of twisted metal it may be.

What I am getting at is the moral behind this piece of twisted metal.

It tells a story of the atrocities that happened 12 years ago tomorrow and the 67 lost British souls among the nearly 3000 that perished that day.

Agreed but it also tells the story that some incompetent idiot commissioned an artist who produced a piece of twisted metal to represent something very important , who probably ran laughing all the way to the bank! The resulting "artwork" doesn't conjuer up the memory of 67 lost British souls nor the buildings that collapsed that day.

    Littlejohn reckons :-

It was put up in Battersea Park for a month and was to have been transferred to a site next to London’s City Hall. But plans for a permanent memorial were scrapped after a number of objections from the usual Left-wing suspects that the statue should also commemorate victims of ‘other ethnic conflicts’.
