I don't think it's advisable for frozen stuffs and heavy goods/foods...

My uncle experienced that when a supermarket in Laguna was implementing it a couple of years ago. He bought canned/tinned goods, some hotdogs and other frozen meat. They put it in a paper bag because they said they're implementing the use of it instead of plastic bags. So since my uncle didn't know about it, he agreed.

What happened was he when he was going down via the escalator, the paper bag got ripped because it got wet (because of the frozen meat) and add the fact that tinned goods are heavy and everything went rolling down the escalator to the floor. He was soooo annoyed and went back to the counter and told everything about it. To his surprise, he found out that he had the option to use a plastic bag and only have to pay for it which the lady in the counter didn't tell him. He went mad after that!
