It's a completely different level Michael. B1 requires higher passing grades than A1

think UKBA level requirement will change to B1from A1 strting on 28th of October. This link will help you.

That does not apply to any Visa Application from outside of UK for Fiance(e) or for Spouse/Partner Visa. Period
That change is solely for ILR (Settlement) and British Citizenship (Naturalisation)

Like what Sir Peter have said. There are no changes on English Language Test for applicants for settlement visas outside the UK, it remains A1 but for the applicants inside the UK that are going to apply for naturalization and ILR they need to obtain B1 from October 28 this year.

Hi sis ...when i went to manila sis i stayed in eurotel its few minutes ride to tb test center? just print out the address sis then u can ask drivers where is that place... you need to be there in tb test center early as you can sis because theirs a long queue even though you have appointment first come first serve...good-luck sis x

Hi karenkeith! I recommend CIE in makati. The fee is not as high as IELTS and no expiry date.
