Where the applicant’s partner is returning with the applicant to the UK to work

    Hi again.
I am getting details for my employer for the letters i need.
I got a bit confused about ths.

    5.1.1.
Where the applicant’s partner is returning with the applicant to the UK to work they must meet two requirements to rely on Category A:

The applicant’s partner must be in salaried employment at the point of application and have been with the same employer and earning the salary level relied upon for at least the last 6 months. In such cases the applicant can count the gross annual salary (at its lowest level in the 6 months prior to the date of application) towards the financial requirement. This can be combined with any or all of the sources at 5.1.2.
    15

In addition the applicant’s partner must also have confirmed salaried employment to return to in the UK (starting within 3 months of their return). This must have an annual starting salary sufficient to meet the financial requirement

I am only flying out to collect my dear wife. Do I need to have al lthis extra information from my emloyer?

    many thanks

    John

I think I am right in saying that you are the sponsor and it is only your details the ukba will be interested in John. All you need is a letter from you employer stating where you work, your salary and how long you have worked there. I think what you are getting confused with is if someone is working outside the uk at the time of the application and wants to sponsor someone to come back.

I know John I have been through it. It is still stressful when the application has been submitted. Terpe helped a lot I am surprised he is still on here . I thought some guys in white coats would have taken him away after the questions I threw at him..

Hi Andy the section I looked at was
    IMMIGRATION DIRECTORATE INSTRUCTIONS
FAMILY MEMBERS UNDER APPENDIX FM OF THE IMMIGRATION RULES
    Annex FM Section FM 1.7
    FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT

I read the section again and yes it appears to be as you said.. coming to the uk to work.. presume a UK citizen say working in Dubai not starting work in UK.

    Thanks

I must sayus UK citizens almost take it for granted we can go here and there. Ive been quite daunted reading all the things required for bringing my fiancee to the UK for a tourist visa but I am also starting to realise I may be overcomplicating the matter. I really hope I get it right shortly and we can spend quite some time together and later spend forever.
