Theresa May 'plans to deport first and hear appeal later'

not sure about this , not if it affects spouses of UK citizens but for everyone else

Home Secretary Theresa May said the Government plans to "deport first and hear the appeal later" in a major change to immigration law.

Good....and about time too, IF the plan is actually put into action.

I don't think most UK/Fil relationships will be affected, as MOST are above board, with proper procedures followed.

lets hope not, if someone is refused FLR or ILR for whatever reason, very harsh that they should leave the UK and appeal

What I have been reading its basically illegal immigrants, foreign national criminals & failed asylum seekers who will get the boot.

The likes of FLR & ILR if not approved under immigration rues shouldn't be effected as these are legitimate cases and would fall under article 8 as a right to a private family life outside the rules.

Thats my reading into it correct me if I'm wrong...

not sure yet, you would have thought it wouldn't effect spouses, but then again they could be married to a British citizen and still be an undesirable

the problem is these do fall under article 8, that's why they are still here ! , while you don't get to use article 8 to bring your spouse here, nothing stopping you going to live in the phils, as some have been told on here by the British Embassy when they've been refused a visa

IMO, every leave to remain should be judged on its individual merits by a panel of at least 3 people...not some box-ticking penpusher subject to mood swings and personal prejudice.

British citizens with British grandparents should also receive absolute priority where marriage visas are concerned...and subject to less harsh rules.

Deflecting from the fact they cant do anything to prevent the flood coming in from Europe,
paying for the Roma to have a short break back home and then seeing them return.
    Couldn`t make it up

well your lucky she came here under a labour gov , unless she is highly skilled or her work is on the job shortage list she would have had little chance of coming to the UK now under the Tories
