Put simply, it's giving the general public an insight into what poison Ralph Miliband instilled into both his sons.

The leader of the Labour party has said countless times what a major influence his father was on him.

I'll jump the queue and start the ball rolling with Marxist Leninist 1950's era Soviet Style State Control.

strangely as a refugee who fled persecution Miliband senior was always too busy with his leftist agitation and Hampstead Politburos to comment on the millions who perished and suffered postwar behind the Iron Curtain

The Daily Mail has the right to talk about Ralph Miliband in relation to his son, the Labour leader Ed Miliband.

Miliband Junior has made extensive references to the love and respect he has for his late father and the influence he had on his moral outloook. The character and background of a politician is important.

So if the Mail thinks Ralph was a dangerous Marxist who had doubts about his national loyalties then it’s valid, if barrel-scraping, to raise that.

gWaPito , dedworth said 'like father like son' what a load of , everyone has their own mind and views, so when has his sons talked about having Marxist views? they are barrel-scraping when its a quote from when he was 17

has his father got a criminal record, has he ever hurt anyone or done time in prison , i think the answer is no, unlike many politicians and look at the bullingdon boy boz the lies he told

and how was he dangerous , did he try and bring down the gov, blow up parliament he couldn't have been that dangerous

"I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." - Voltaire and so he should have the same rights as you and I have

my parents taught me more than you could ever know, and what freedom is, you know nothing of my parents, the fact is my mother lived under the Nazi's and my father joined the Russian army to fight them. and no he wasn't Russian or a communist but was prepared to give his life for the freedom you have now.

what did they teach you tell me ?

I'd be just as proud Joe

The point Simon is making, whether good or bad, our parents have a resounding influence in our formative years. No one chooses to be gay You made a bit of a booboo there, Joe
