I was reflecting on this recently, our local McDs also had no Big Mac stock last time we visited, the local cafe screwed up our lunch order, the chemist had no stock of our prescription, Tescos messed up on their specials, had to wait at customer services for it to be sorted. Only in the Philippines? It appears not!

I went to a foreign owned bar the other day and asked for an ice cold San Miguel Pilsen.
The bar maid said "Out of stock sir"...
    What?
After falling off the bar stool I promptly went up the hill and got a cold one there.
