    for passport application

hello guys, I really need advice because on monday we have appointment in british embassy manila to apply my 1 yr.old daughter for her 1st british passport. My concern is about the countersignature. i dont know any brtish national living here in phiilppines , so i ask one of my teacher before and she knew me 20 years now. she was teacher before and now she was promoted as principal in high school. I just want to ask if the british embassy will grant my baby application that her countersignatory is my teacher before and now she is principal head of the school. are they going to accept it mu baby application?

thank you guys in advance, for the help :-)

I am not sure , how about your baby's GP (pediatrician) or your OB GYne?( because they were the one who were there when you gave birth.

your baby's doctor would be alright...they need counter signatories just to prove that the photo you are going to submit is the true likeness of the applicant. I applied my baby's british passport when he was 1 1/2 years old and his pediatrician signed it. Never had a problem. I believed his pediatrician is the best person to sign it since he/she knows your baby since born.

Hello sarah, what i did with that portion is i asked my neighbor for more that 15 years already to countersignatory and she is a policewomen. I think your professional neighbor for more than 2 years is ok.

hi guys, just to share of what happened to my 1st baby british passport application...

I went to british embassy manila last monday , I apply 1st for my baby birth cert. then after checking the docs and it was okay, they accept my baby application it was great coz the woman incharge to check the docs says its complete so thank God. Then I submit all the docs for my baby british passporr.

heres the docs I submitted at the british embassy manila

*the form bmd 001-007 for birth
*c2 form for my child passport application
    * birth cert.of my daughter (NSO)
    * parents birth cert.
    *parents passport
*photocopy of all the stamp of my husband passport with the sign of the solicitor to prove that whats on his passport is authentic /true
    *marriage contract (NSO)
    *CRS FORM no5
    *divorce paper of my hubby
*medical cert.from the hospital where I gave birth
*surgical memorandum from the hospital from my ob who do perform CS
    * all my prenatal records from the hospital and to my ob including the receipts from the hospital.
*pictures when I was pregnant together with my hubby and pictures of my baby from 0-12months old.
    *my baby previous passport

the countersignatory for my baby passport application was my teacher before when I was high school and she is now a school head of the school. She knows me for 20 years since when I was little girl. Shes my neighbor too. She filled up the form and she stamp the form..

the embassy accept my baby 1st british passport application. I have a successful day yesterday at british embassy manila.

thank also guys forhe tips and advice...

After 6 weeks my baby had her 1st british passport

I just want to put another input here just in case you want to register you child at british embassy manila. There is no bmd 001-007 can be found in there website, only bmd 001-012, just download that form and when you got to the embassy they will give you the bmd 001-007 form..

the fees for passport is 12,540 pesos which is different from their website...
