had a letter 3rd of jan, the wifes application for indefinite leave to remain in the uk has been approved so it took 7 weeks from the time we went to the checking service
Congratulations To you and your wife Tony, good luck for the future!
Been to Checking Service for ILR at Nottingham today, very simple and very quick and the lady who dealt with us was very nice. If you're a Spouse visa applicant they don't need Marriage certificate or Divorce papers also Birth certificates of either of us because British Embassy would have already supplied that information to the Home Office. The main thing was proof of living together in the UK and that the mail provided was evenly spread out over the two years you have resided together. I personally found it very easy to do the ILR documentation I just took my time and dealt with one page at a time, now the waiting begins but not worried at all, the lady who's name was 'Hannah' just said that it could be up to seventeen weeks before we receive anything so we'll just continue with our normal life until the ILR visa arrives, then book flight's to Cebu!
Another step in the right direction Michael
Pleased to read all went well with Maritess's application, Michael.
17 weeks, though ... ! That's a helluva time to wait considering you used the NCS - which practically does the Home Office's job for them by checking applicants' documents.
Anyway ... ... at least you can relax for the duration - secure in the [certain] knowledge everything's shipshape.
Nice to hear Michael, good luck to you both.
Thanks to everyone for the good wishes, also to all the members who have contributed their experience and knowledge over the years to help others and that's what makes this forum stand out from all the rest!
Michael and Tess! Good luck for your ILR application...
Latest update is, £1093 has been removed from our bank today, so the staff at the Home Office have proved how efficient they are at obtaining funds from our bank accounts once again!
Just a good few weeks left to wait now then Michael
Congrats to Tony's wife and Good luck to Maritess for ILR application.
''Don't be serious..Be Sincere''
Best of luck to Michael and Maritess for a successful outcome!
Just received letter from Home Office today saying that they have received Maritess application, also mention not to contact them within six months!
