    Stripey Suit

s NOT the kind of item you'd expect to find in an Antique Store. But there it was ... in front of my eyes as I browsed through a rail of ladies' & gents' clothing, when - by sheer chance - Myrna and I popped into a local warehouse yesterday afternoon, at the behest of an old chum of mine who happened to be with us at the time.

Turns out the premises are due to close down at the end of this month, and my friend, Brian - who has a particular interest in old war medals and other *militaria - suggested we might like to accompany him in looking around for such *articles usually to be found in those places. Places where there's often jewellery on sale too, and Brian thought that might appeal to Myrna's tastes.

Well ... ... in the end, my companions came away empty-handed. Whereas, what attracted me, was this particular 2-piece garment (as near in tone as it's possible to illustrate the shade I've described here below):

    Greenish~ brown with a creamish~coloured chalk stripe.

Yep ... a gent's suit. Practically brand new (pockets still stitched) going for £28 ... less 20 percent discount ... £22.50!

Tried it on! Perfect fit in every sense ... so, needless to say, I snapped it up!

............. 's about right. Suits Arthur Daley and/or Arthur Little equally, I'd say ... and I have long had a hankering for that style!

No waistcoat with the one I bought, though.

Insofar as you have the Myrna seal-of-approval then it must be perfect and a bargain

    Just based on my experience
