Where and How to get CNI in scotland?

Good evening. I have a problem. My fiancee is in finland right now working, and he's work will be finished soon. He doesn't know where to get the CNI in his country which is Scotland because he is working abroad for years now. Do you have any idea of where to go and what are the address of registrar offices in scotland? Or do you have any hotline number for us to call to book for an appointment for CNI?

Please please I need help. Thank you for being kind and helpful!

I can reply for Wales and my experience. It can be got from the registry office for births, deaths and marriages. It takes 22 days after the application and you need to have certain ID proof etc. That is for Wales but it could differ in Scotland. If you describe the location in Scotland I might be able to get a link.

    Hi pecia,

He can obtain a CNI from his local register office
That CNI is only valid for 3 months so timing becomes important when organising the exchange at the British Embassy Manila
BTW with the correct and complete documentation you may collect the local CNI from the Embassy on his behalf.

Here's a link for the General Register Office for Scotland

Here's their webpage showing what they state concerning CNI - I want to get married abroad. What documents will I need to provide?

One of our Respected Forum Members got married today in Philippines. He's from Scotland too.
I'll sort out the threads and post for you.
