earthquake BOHOL AREA

Dont worry...we are fine..
Nipa hut still standing proud.. A real shaker no doubt about it but surprisingly little damage locally that I have seen.. Drove out to see our building yesterday and all fine..
No visible damage to local buildings.
Most damage so far seems to be old spanish coral stone buildings in places like Maribojoc,Carmen and Dauis..These have just crumbled slowly throughout the day.
All new roads that I have seen are untouched although the causeway bridge has been lifted up a bit in the center.. Not seen the other causeway just yet but I believe its in use.
BQ mall has two inch cracks in every floor and all malls and schools are closed until engineers inspect and deem them safe.
Biggest tragedy occurred in an old spanish church in Loon where people were gathered for a local fiesta I'm told.. Church collapsed and 30 dead I believe..
Pretty bad..
Saving grace to this story is yet ANOTHER Filipino Public holiday and the kids were not in school..
Apart from that I lost 1000 gallons out of my pond.. That was a sight to see!

The power went off right after the quake and didn't come back on till 7 or 8 last night.. Internet signal came on about 2 hours ago..
Did you feel those aftershocks at 6PM and 10PM last night?? Lol..
Had another earlier this morning.. Hopefully they will get fewer and fewer over the next two or three days..
Kids are off school now till Monday.

we only felt 1 more shake here in bacolod at about 5.30 pm yesterday all quiet since .I expect a lot more pictures and reports of damage still to come in from the more remote parts of bohol.
