    Nevertheless it's a little concerning that these things are on the increase and whereas we once used to see pictures of food queues in Russia on our TV screens it's now been reversed. I'm sure I read the other day that the Red Cross have also got involved in an appeal in this country which is a little embarrassing.

    Government should issue food vouchers instead of cash.........The boozers and the offies will dip out but, at least the kids will get fed

    Give anything away for free and you will have a queue form, not all of them really need the help.

    Seen it all the time with c/h breakdowns for the over 60s and getting free repairs or even new boilers fitted free.
    Working children in the house but they put the elderly up as the house owner to get free help. Luxury saloons parked outside.

    No shortage of 3, 5 and 7 series BMWs parked outside social housing in the town where I live ..They can't all be drug dealers and pimps, surely.

    slightly But I wonder whether anyone else reading Andy's link happened to notice the surname of the Trussell Trust's CEO who is commenting on the increasing numbers of people [purportedly] using foodbanks ...

    I wonder how many of these people have sky t.v ,mobile phone contracts ,go to the bingo , smoke 20 fags a day etc etc .

    Knew of a truffle which is a type of fungus which apparently can by sold for up to £4000 a kilo

    I am dreading the interest rates going up coz ive got used to low repayments on ma mortgage which helps me to live out here fairly comfortably

    tell me mystic gWaPito, how you can tell whether they own their own house (bought from thatchers great sale of the century 'right to buy' scheme ) or they rent
