Wow, that's nice......always good when you know someone who has such good fortune.
Not to put a negative slant on it, but there was a lady in our office who won £132,000 on the lottery and would mention it almost everytime she spoke.......plenty of gossip on that one
Wish I could win like that Steve.......I know just what I'd spend it on
hes a very good friend at work, he dont seem to have much luck, but its all his own doing, i try to tell him what to do but you can guarantee a few months later he will come back and say you was right,
I have told him to put it all on his mortgage, he wants to pay it off quicker, but will he listen ,
£100,000 will see me retire tomorrow but if i dont win that, i still have a plan to retire in 63 months , WOW , payday tomorrow, so only 62 months
If he's a good friend try to very gently guide him Steve..........£20k is easy to spend if you're not thinking straight................a new car and a luxury holiday and it's gone.
Which is OK in a way but still the same old same old after. Just my opinion
Knew a fella who won 85k in the casino and not long after lost it all back to the casino.
Lucky fella Steve, hope he listens to you!
well he has the cheque and its in his bank £20,000 a nice amount but i am sure the advice i have gave him has gone in one ear and out the other,
Whats the saying there is no fool like a old fool
well Peter where do i start on that one, been married twice, the last one took him for everything, but with a little help he got back on his feet and when i was going through a bad time he helped me, but he got involved with this woman, been together for around 9 years will not get married, put her name on the mortgage and whats hers is hers and whats his seems to be hers also , he keeps saying he wants out, but hes been saying that now for 4 years, funny thing is hes a nice bloke but frightened he does not want to be alone, each to there own
Hmmm, no more to be said.
A fool and his money......and all that..
I've been foolish many times
Yep it is
Once we're in the paradise islands I'll be keeping a vice-like grip on my income. My wife knows that and accepts that.
That's why we've delayed moving...just to complete the education of a couple of highly talented students....I'm so proud of them too.
On a selfish perspective I'm hoping that a medical doctor and a lawyer will be nice to have in the family.......hopefully
well it had to happen, his cheques in the bank and for the last few months hes been saving hard to try to put extra money into his mortgage, stopped drinking now only drinks at home and what did he say last night, I AM GOING TO GET F----G RAT ARSED TONIGHT, looks like all his hanging on mates will too, , hay ho, his his money but give it a few months and he will be sorry
