Ah ok, so you pay a mechanic 25K a year and it cost's a few 100k to kit out each workshop, doesn't take long on a calculator to work out it's cheaper to pay Joe's garage down the road a bit extra on labour and utilise their facilities to maintain your fleet

rubbish the garage down the road has to make a profit to pay for the rent of the garage, the owner, anyone else who works there, etc.

you assuming that the mechanic(s) is sat fiddling his thumbs all day long doing nothing,

if thats so why dont the nhs hire him out to the garage !

Because the mechanic would get his union involved and they'd all go out on strike

i can name that and we run 3 workshops fully fitted in different parts of the country to support our vehicles
