so many of them that would prefer working in their own country,its about time the philippines opened their doors a lot more to foreign companies and lift the red tape to help the country catch up with its surrounding neighbours after all the workforce is there and waiting.
Interesting how they mention that the more experienced Domestic Helpers become more picky who they work for. We've found the same here, and employ a superb and well experienced helper, but know only how difficult it is to find someone good. We treat our helper is a member of the family.
We have so many British friends looking for good and reliable Filipina maids (preferably older ones who don't end up in the nightclubs with local boys).
It's a tough way to earn a living though.
