    Over the past 3 years the UK govt has given an average of £227 million pa in aid to a country with a billion dollar space programme. Wouldn't it be a bit wiser to divert some of that to a country in genuine need, like The Philippines.

    Our Government has pledged The Philippines £6 million, it could do a whole lot better

    I know Since I posted that, the Government have increased it to 10 million and thrown in a warship and a troop carrying plane not to mention all the ground aid........The UK are doing us proud.
