When and where would you be thinking of going?

Fred would be best placed to advise really as he's on the ground.

Haven't heard much reporting from Bohol but I recall Fred mentioning all was 'normal' on the usual tourist beach resorts.

We've had no contact to our family there for a couple of days now.

we have the chance of going to the phils just after xmas if the price would come down a little, if while over there we could some how help while we are there rather then be a hindrence

One of the things that would be helping some of the damaged areas is tourists continuing to come and spend money as alot of local owned resorts and businesses will be struggling too.
I'm sure there will still be donation stations and volunteer projects ongoing when you arrive if you want to get stuck in.

Don't take offence Steve ...but, I wouldn't be comfortable holidaying in an area where misery is all around.
Unless you are going to visit Em's family I'd go somewhere else. .for example The Caribbean. An ideal winter's retreat for us Brits. It's only 9 hrs away
