Angry YET ANOTHER LETTER to MY CASEWORKER

Happy days! Or so I thought when I finally got hold of my BRP for my FLR(M) last February after a record-breaking wait. Three months later, I have realised that there is a possibility that my BRP's validity is incorrect. I compared it to some of my friends who are in the UK under the same circumstances (visa wise) as me and asked others in this forum. Yes, there seem to be a mistake. I was given a BRP valid for 2.5 years. I am under old rules so it should have been 2 years. I followed Rayna's suggestion to inform BRP Error Team of the mistake. I sent an e-mail outlining my visa application history and explaining why I believe my visa validity is incorrect and got this reply.

"Thank you for your enquiry regarding the expiry date of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).

We have looked into this matter, and the expiry date showing on your BRP is correct according to our records. If you wish to dispute the expiry date, you should consult the guidance on our website at www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk in the first instance. If this does not answer your query, you should write to your case worker setting out why you believe the expiry date on your BRP is incorrect.

Please do not return the BRP at this point – your case worker will advise you if they need you to return the BRP. Your case worker’s details are:
    "

So, I wrote to the case worker, attached a scanned copy of my BRP and fiance visa stamped on my passport and sent the letter through recorded delivery (kept receipts). NO SIGN of a REPLY. So I wrote to BRP Error Team again saying I have followed their recommendations but received no reply from my case worker.
    BRP Error Team replied (05/11/2013)

    "Good Afternoon
    Thank you for your email.
Your email has been forwarded to your case worker. Your case worker will contact you in due course.
    "

I did not know how soon is in "due course". So last Wednesday (13/11/2013) I wrote another letter to my case worker, attached the letter I sent her from the previous month...

And finally , today I got this e-mail, from BRP Error Team (not from my case worker)

"Thank you for your email of 04/11/13 regarding the expiry date on your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).

We have looked into this matter, and the expiry date showing on your BRP is incorrect.

Please send your BRP and a covering letter explaining that the expiry date is incorrect and that you have been asked to return your BRP to your case worker for correction to:
    "

I have explained why my BRP expiry is incorrect (paulit-ulit?). Now I have to explain again. Well, let us see how long will it take to change the validity of my BRP...

    Kind Regards,

    J - UKBa's most avid pen-pal.
UKBA,UKBA I am dreading to hear from you...
UKBA, a BRP for Christmas will do...
