Labour MP's who didn't show up for the hated bedroom tax vote

Some of Labour’s biggest names failed to turn up to vote last night against “the hated bedroom tax”. Chuka, Bryant, Douglas Alexander, Margaret Hodge even Ed Balls were absent, rendering them unable to ever speak convincingly on the issue ever again.

So the Labour MP's don't pocket expenses for their second homes - funny I thought I read that they did

It was a Labour motion to scrap the Bedroom tax and many of them couldn't be arsed to turn up

You're losing the plot Joe and forgetting your own rank hypocrisy.
Your posts are random meaningless rants about Tory sleaze, home owning, expenses, bank balances, champagne guzzling all of which are enjoyed/claimed by the Labourites.

You do make me smile Andy defending the undefendable - the Tory MPs in your link voted for the bedroom tax because they want to save public money by not having large taxpayer subsidised social houses given to people who don't need all the bedrooms. There are deserving cases out there eg so called "Asylum Seekers" and Illegal Immigrants in desperate need of such properties

However it is rank hypocrisy for those Labourite MP's referring in their numerous rants and speeches to the tax as "hated" then not be bothered to turn up in Parliament to debate and vote on it.

I have to agree,it's like the public not bothering to vote in a general election then moaning about the goverment-but it's worse as they are paid to make decisions on our behalf.
As for slagging off Man Utd that's fun for us Man utd fans
We are the most successful English team of all time, everyone should slag off West bleedin Brom as they are turnip mashers and Andy is head turnip masher

Labour Finally Admit Bedroom ‘Tax’ is Not a Tax

Eagle eyed readers will spot that one thing is missing: the “hated bedroom tax” is not on the list. Which means Labour must have at last decided that it is not a tax after all

I think the problem before was that non political threads were being derailed and turned into a political debate

As this one started out in a political vein I don't think there's a problem in it continuing. Happy to be told otherwise in case I got the wrong end of the stick

It makes me laugh when you say (WE) Les. Why dont you support a local team like Leeds or York City?. As for the bedroom tax because to most people who it affects that is what it is. That will be the nail in the torys coffin. You wait and see. And the majority of people are worse off under this government.

Oh blimey this rubbish about a local team once again,ok so who do i support,York,Bradford or Leeds?
If one is a mile nearer do I have to choose that one.
Ok can you assure me then that if I have to support a 'Local team' that the players will be all local lads?
See if you can find me one

It's the biggest load of .......s ever,if 11 top Mancunians came to play for you turnip head team would that be ok?
I disagree with the bedroom tax as stated previuosly, just find it funny that plenty of labour mps don't oppose it

If we could trace the roots of all the real madrid players back to the Midlands and they played for you and you won trophies would that be ok,or would you say no they not local-I follow my local team
Thanks Andy you have made my night even better your a funny guy as De Niro once said

I'm not particularly interested except the fact that it never was a tax and the lefties have finally realised it. All those pictures of suckers waving placards stating "stop the bedroom tax" look even more stupid now
