Message from VFS? UKBA?

last time when i received this message sis my visa was refused...then the second time when i was approved i got email from by ukba manila hub first..

Your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days. Applicants in Australia and New Zealand should allow 3 days before tracking their documents via the local post. UKBA-Manila Visa Hub.

Its kinda confusing.

The first message you received was from VFS
They have no knowledge of the UKBA decision. UKBA will not inform them of that,
So VFS can only state that the application has been processed. Nothing more.

The second message (e-mail) is from UKBA Manila Hub who have made their decision and say that "Your visa will be despatched shortly".
This is an automated message that is intended to be sent when a visa has been granted.
You can't be 100% certain until you hold your passport and see the visa.....we all know mistakes can happen by UKBA.

But, I would personally say advance congratulations are in order.
So very well done.

I have the same question. I was planning to go to Paris but when I called the French Embassy, I still have to apply for Schengen visa.

But a colleague of mine (married to British national), travelled to Italy and he said he didn't have to apply for Schengen to go there. Might as well check that one.

I believe you apply for CFO when you work or migrate permanently to a foreign country.

If you'll leave the Philippines as a tourist, you don't need to get CFO. CFO is a requirement for Filipinos emigrating to another country and not for tourists.

thanks everyone. been to the French Embassy today. They asked me if the registered our marriage in the UK Embassy. I told them that i think i dont have to do that anymore since I already have a UK Visa which is approved by the UK Embassy. Now they are asking me for a Travel Insurance, hotel reservation in Paris and flight ticket to London.

Will provide them these docs tomorrow.

and just to share with you guys, they thought im there for a student visa..hahaha.. maybe cos im so tiny 4'11"
