i think there does seem to be an undercurrent in america of seeing anything from a non-native english speaking country and a non-white dominated country as INFERIOR just because it's from a country other than good old U S of A!
This is why a lot of americans will refer to someone as "his filipino wife" .. . and i think . .. what has her race got to do with anything?! If you said "his black wife" or "his caucasian wife" it would be considered racist . . . hmmmm double standards by the americans i guess!
I think that the filipinos are a proud people who will continue to quietly WOW the world with their pride, values, intelligence and smiles
