I have to recommend the Tesco Hudl, I've had one for over a month now and for the money I paid it can't be faulted. Well I say money, but strictly speaking it cost no money as I used my accumulated clubcard vouchers. The current double you money deal with the vouchers meant that it cost £60 in vouchers.

My only slight criticism is that the memory cant cope with some of the larger, demanding games, the Android version of FIFA 14 being one example. The front camera also isn't brilliant, but comparable with some more expensive models, and can be used for Skype with some success. My kids love it for the many games that can be played easily on it, and its good at keeping them quiet in the back of the car by streaming Netflix content to them (via my tethered mobile).

If you manage to find one in stock, I would definitely recommend it!

Tablets are no good for people who do a lot of typing as it takes much longer to write sentence. But for doing Facebook, etc they are fine.

Now you tell me....after I chucked out my tape collection.

Admitted, you could only fit three of those tapes in the glovebox.

I was having a look at one of those in Tesco this evening, but couldn't work out whether you could use it for surfing the net, as didn't have my specs with me.

...Which is probably why I bought 3 Oranges for 17p that when I got them home looked like they'd gone 3 rounds with Mike Tyson, and stank like one of his armpits.

They had a little booth on York railway station where you could make a recording on vinyl. For years I kept the one I'd made when I was 21, of me singing a song and doing Donald Duck impressions.

It got left behind with some of my other stuff in the Philippines.
