I start up my computer & open my email.

no new messages

must be something wrong

I send a test message to my gmail account - hmm that works. I send it back.. nothing

maybe mailserver is locked up give it a reboot..

send-receive.. nothing

maybe dns is not working.. login its ok..

maybe nameserver registration is lost log into internic - nope thats ok.

maybe MX record is missing from dns server check that .. no its ok.

maybe smtp listener has stopped, telnets fine...

I wonder when I got my last email click 'sort by received'..

you don't work for BT do you badboyako ? , was it you i was speaking to in their 'tech support' dept, telling them that our router at work was , and after 3 hours on the phone, they agreed it was, and after 2 days of calling, now they would send a replacement
