Or is it Manila v Bangkok?
Or is it Manila v Bangkok?
Easy for sincerity, girls with better values Phils, for more liveliness,English grub and lady-boys Thailand
When people wind me up at work they keep saying things about Thai girls, I have to remind them that she is Filipino!
I have spent a lot of time in both countries and the video for me sums up the comparisons and differences quite well. But what does annoy me is that accommodation for tourists costs 3 times more in Phils than in Thailand
Never been to thailand so I cant comment.
Generally he made some valid comments.
In terms of food though.....just my opinion, but food is all about culture and it comes down to individual taste. imo
How does one food get to better than another anyways.
Personally I think Japanese food is the best in the world. Most here wouldn't touch it though.
We all have our opinion of food and that's it.....just an opnion.
I think it also depends on the sort of holiday you're looking for. For sure Thailand is geared up to the 'package'.
If it's your thing to seek out the local version of burgers, chips and pizza's go for it....each to their own.
Accommodationwise......I haven't found such a big difference. Both countries offer cheap accommodation. Maybe Thailand has the edge slightly on price but really not enough to make a difference imo.
Philippines = £10 and Thailand =£8 means I'm not going to squabble.
Yeah yeah I know you can find a fan room with no bathroom in Thailand for cheap cheap.......you're welcome to that
I've no way to know what you pay in either country in GBP converted
But taken on a like for like basis.......I'd imagine you have opportunities to rethink where you stay in Philippines.....no offence intended.....just not my experience at all.
Are you thinking Hotels, Apartments, Rooms etc ?
I've never been to Thailand unless you can count the runway tarmac at Bangkok Airport. Would like to visit properly once I'm done traveling the Phils.
When i visited Thailand with my Filipino wife, people were forever speaking to her in Thai believing she was Thai. Until then I had not realised the similarity in appearance between many Thais and Filipinos
On the price of accommodation: I agree that the prices in Philippines are much higher than in Thailand, for comparable hotels and towns.
A friend has just returned from Pattaya. For one month, he rented a studio with all amenities, including swimming pool, about 5 K from the centre 2 mins from beach, for 7,000 bhts (£140) a month. A motorbike 'taxi' into the centre (5kms) was 50 bhts (£1) a bus 10 bhts (20p)
Same thing happened to us John when we was there. Enjoyed Bangkok, it felt safer than Manila, better transport, all the taxi drivers we used were honest and we preferred the food, or I should say I preferred the food.
We had 5 star accommodation at 2 to 3 star Manila rates.
