Joint application mother & child (Wife and step son) proving sole responsibility

Dear all

My wife will be applying for a spouse visa and her son of 5yrs old will apply at the same time. Just have a question. We have the following documents

1) Affidavit from father agreeing to her son coming to UK and he has no responsibility
2) Sworn statement by her sister that she has been solely responsible
3) Swon statement by a disinterested person (not a friend nor a relative)

The child does have the fathers surname but didnt see the child for many years.

Can anyone post here what documents they submitted to apply at the same time if possible and if they think that this maybe enough for the visa to be granted.

Of course its up to the ECO but just like others opinions and if anyone applied for the visa like this what else did they do.

has the mother always lived with her son ? does his bio father support him financially ?

Yes she has lived with her son always and no the father doesnt support him

Thanks but this example is somebody who is previously annulled and got a solo parent paper and managed to get documents as solo parent. I need somebody in same situation as us.. thank you

Sorry, but I can't.

Hopefully someone who has gone through the process recently will notice this thread and provide the advice you need. (It's nearly 20 years since I brought my stepkids over).
