A correction to my previous post.
Originally I wrote "...Once married, the wife could own the land & her husband can rent it from his wife (I think this can happen)...".
I've now read on another expat/Phils forum that this is NOT allowed. Under Phils Family Code property owned by a married couple is conjugal/community property.
