Vaz to greet first Romanian workers

i think Vaz is not in your good books already dedworth
if he's worried why is he welcoming them

The very first Romanian immigrant workers arriving in Britain on January 1 are to be greeted by Labour MP Keith Vaz at Luton Airport.

Keith Vaz’s Christmas card is something of an institution, and this year’s Harry Potter-themed effort on behalf of the Home Affairs select committee is as bad as ever. Yes that is Theresa May as a witch…

Just between you me and the gatepost. .leaving full time employees are replaced with agency. ..If they come up to scratch in the 12 month trial they are then offered full time employment. .This is quite common throughout the UK. They would be offered the new terms and conditions which aren't as good as ours. ..We've managed to hang on to the old T's and C's...us last 40 odd drivers are basically the last of our employer's bugbear. It's good as long as the site remains open. .

that's very kind of your employer to offer them a 12 month trial on a lot lower wage than others, i don't think that's common at all, its always been 30 or 90 days

Maybe in your line of work Joe. That 'lower wage' is still double the min hourly rate. There's not many paying that sort of money for warehousing work. The employer can pick and choose

Problem for you Mark is when your group become the minority in your workplace.
