There are car parks for Heathrow terminal 3 and 4 which you can book online beforehand. Although it, at first, seems expensive, try comparing the cost of a coach/train to the airport etc. I have left my car there for a month in the past and it was still cheaper than 3 of us travelling by coach between airports etc.

Directions to the car parks are given once you book your place. The car parks are very well signposted and the directions they provide are very good.....and i NEVER use a satnav.

Don't bother with booking car parking..I'm assuming you will be picking up only...so go straight to the short stay T4 car park...
    Terminal 4

The terminal is in the southern part of the airport site and has a separate entrance. Exit the M25 at junction 14 and follow signs for Heathrow Terminal 4. If you're coming from the M4, leave at junction 4b and follow the M25 south to junction 14.
Postcode for satellite navigation: TW6 3XA

You will pass the long stay car park on the left first...just keep on driving...the short stay car park comes up also on the left

It well sign posted so don't worry

No use to you, but I get free short stay parking as I work at the airport. Only problem is it's a carpark near my work and a good walk into Terminal 4. But it was handy a few years back when I went to Ireland for 10 days. I got a friend at work to move my car into different parking spots each day so the car park attendant didn't notice lol

We don't know if Andy is after short or long term parking - short term requires a loan from a Merchant Bank these days

From memory, I seem to recall Andy saying something about his Mrs coming over fairly soon, so I guessed it was a pick up and therefore short term. There again if it's PAL you never know what delays could be in store, so he might be better off with long term

On second thoughts why not pop round to Dedworth's house for a nice cup of tea and wait for the flight to land, only 10 minutes to Heathrow from there

Good idea - I'm up for it unless Andy is intending to pop into Wormwood Scrubs to have a cuppa in the visitors block with disgraced former Politburo member Denis MacShane

Or sit and have a coffee in McDonalds on the on the A4 Bath road just outside the airport and wait for a phone call to say they are out of immigration. Then tell them to exit at passenger departure drop off, pick them up from there.

I normally tell people to call me as soon as they get of the plane and are waiting for baggage. Then by the time they get out of the airport I am normally there or thereabouts

More than welcome Pop in for a coffee if you like, then get the Mrs to call when she clears immigration. I'm only 25 minutes from T4 myself

That's right, pay phones. Its how I always do it for picking my family up but they have their own phone with them.

Lots of Limo and Chauffeurs do the same as the Mcdo is crawling with them.
