This is your wife, it's not on! There's websites devoted to confronting such behaviour on dating sites, and it's not uncommon unfortunately.
Tempting as it might be to get out there and confront the situation, the advice others have given about "is it safe to" must be considered.
Really though in a relationship, the biggest thing is trust - once this goes, the relationship at best is never the same again, and at worst is finished. There must be a severe dent to this trust to be posting it on a public forum

before you take actions know both sides of the stories, before you believe your wife, think. Some people can be so nice in your face but opposite when you're not looking. You can't just judge your wife as a good person just because she's not materialistic. Sometimes people are trying to be good to get what they want.
It should be you wife's will to do such things, even if her parents manipulate her ,she should be thinking about you. What will be your reaction and how would you feel about it.
