ive read the information on getting married which has be very helpful. Im looking to get married in august but i havent got an original copy of my birth certificate wil this matter?

I am no expert... But I think you will need it at some point... My advice would be to obtain it from the UK ASAP.

Years ago I needed one for security checks to work at the airport. I didn't have one and I cant remember who I contacted but it was pretty straightforward and very low cost to obtain one.
