VAF4a form left in the returned folder

    Hello guys.

I have lodged my application today but i've got a problem. The woman returned the folder where i put my docs, when i got home, i got out the folder from my bag and to my surprise and disappointment, the printed VAF4a form was left in the folder. I secured all my docs in a big clip. Will they still accept it if i bring it back at vfs?

    Advice please.

No reason why they wouldn't just explain what happened to the guard on duty and i'm pretty sure that they will accommodate you with no hassle

    Hello Rani.
Did they not return the photocopy of your VAF4a when you lodged yours?

    Hello.
Sorted. Rang vfs this afternoon and was told that no problem about the photocopy being returned as all they need is the original copy.
Hoping for a positive result soon. How's your application btw?

Did you have to fill in a VAF4a form as well as the online application?

I thought it was just one form now??

You need to print out the online form that was submitted and take to VFS along with the Financial Requirement Form completed manually and all supporting docs.

    Terpe,

Do you have a link to the Financial Requirement Form please?

    Thanks for that.

I will complete the main one as well:-

Probably do it when I am there as I will arrive on the 14th Feb and we will submit on the 25th.

Certainly not an easy process though, and would have been much tougher without the support from the people here.

Take some time to check out the questions on the forms and the documentary evidence required whilst you are here. Better than realising any unforseen issues when you are far from home. IMO

Yes, good point and lucky I did.

Question 2.8 asks if you intend to work in the UK. I think I should answer no because Jen will not be working in the first 6 months but may do at some point in the future after settlement etc.

    Mmm ... on balance, - 'YES' ...

... taking care to add the words:

"Once her Immigration Status permits her to do so."
