Virgins probably the lesser of 2 evils - I know I looked before (thread on here somewhere) at a Virgin Sim only monthly deal.

Hiya Steve I can honestly say I have been with virgin many years on various contracts payg ect and have never had a problem with them always found there customer services excellent.

I know they offer cracking deals especially on the 30 day rolling contract sim only, basically means your not tied in and can leave anytime for example if lets say you call them on Feb 1st to cancel the rolling contract and your next bundle is due on Feb 9th then on that date your contract would be ended no tie ins.

Anyway mate just take a look...

I've been with several providers. Found 3 to be the best.

I've been SIM only with o2 for about 3 years now - I saw through being suckered into the free phone / free upgrade scenario. Keep your phone if your happy with it or get a good phone purchase deal outside of contracts.

I cant change my wife's way of thinking she thinks a free iPhone and 2 years @ £37/month ( rising with RPI) is a good deal

Check out this lot £0.00 per month 200mins - I know someone who did some sort of annual deal with them for £15.00

    http://www.ovivomobile.com/

I think it hangs off Vodafone network a bit like GiffGaff is o2

Thanks for the tip Ded, just called Ivivo and it's £20 for a sim, free calls + £15 credit in case one uses the 200 free mins but to call Philippines it's 25pence per min also I can keep my present number. I'll ponder a while and work out what is best for me, because I only use about 200 min's a year @ 7p per min!

Superb £7 deal Steve I think I'll kick o2 into touch particularly as they've shafted millions of us by flogging their home broadband to Sky

the deal should be £15 so they say but because of being a long lasting customer its £7, as they say

Ah that's the catch I've just had a brief look and nearest I can see for a non Virgin punter is 1200min 1gb for £12 - still better than I'm getting from o2, the next one down is £10 250 min 1gb. 600ish is what I really need though
