I booked direct through Etihad this time. All online, including selecting my seats.
No hiccups and less than 600 quid...can thoroughly recommend them.

Agreed! I paid £730 return ... for each of my trips - from Manchester and Heathrow, respectively, to Davao Itl. - with Singapore Airlines, in 2008.
