Hi everyone, me and the hubby are going home in April time for 22 days, do we need to go to the Phil embassy and get his visa? Even for just 1 day beyond the limit? Or we can get away with it? :-)

rules are rules they might drag him off kicking and screaming at the airport for overstaying
I doubt if it's like the UK where there's a polite text message two years after the visa runs out
Hi,
I did think it was 21 days but recently saw this -
"British and Irish passport holders may enter and stay in the Philippines for 30 days without visa provided that they hold valid tickets for their return journey to port of origin or next port of destination, and that their passports are valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines."

Your husband will not need a visa when you arrive at immigration in the phils ask for a balikbayan visa for your husband it is valid for 12 months he us entitled to this as he is married to you a filipino citizen

What he said.
Make sure you arrive on the same flight though, and that you have your marriage certificate to show to immigration...and don't forget to ASK for the Balikbayan 'privilege' stamp at the immigration counter. Even without it, the visa waiver stay for Brits has been increased to 30 days.
If you're going straight to Cebu, just ask for the Balikbayan when you go through immigration there at the airport.
It's nothing to do with the Embassy...purely Phils immigration upon ARRIVAL.
No problem you can still get the balikbayan visa when you arrive at immigration in cebu

The time limit was raised to 30 days last year so no need for a visa at all. but im sure they will sell you one anyway if you ask about it so don't bother.
Ok graham and Stevie, thanks a lot... :-)
