Nice in Twickenham, just had a nice meal and stroll along the river with a mate. Sun's out.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Don't know, I picked my godson up from school at 3.30 in Isleworth, didn't have a coat on and was a bit on the chilly side

Could be because I am a northerner. T-shirt, light jacket and didn't feel any chill at lunchtime

Now that summer has been officially declared it seems so many people are getting fever and sickness.
    Makes me laugh here.

When I lived in Japan and summer was officially declared the very next day everyone was wearing a short sleeve white shirt. Still wearing the tie though. Very civilised

    Another cloudy and cooler day.
Hopefully, this is the time I can finally get into Toril

I promised my wife a lunch in the Toril G-Mail in exchange for a trip to their local wet market and a quick reconnoitre of the beach area (maybe another interesting fishing spot for me )

No decent beach fishing in Toril Terpe. I have fished there for 20ish years and caught nothing of size sadly. Every morning we have fishermen just off the beach stringing out hundreds of yards of small mesh gill nets

Well, I finally made the short trip to Toril.
The jeepney dropped off right outside GMail
Smallish but very relaxed and nice place.
I spent so long browsing the basement Handyman hardware store that I didn't get time to visit the beach.
    Great shop that one
Nice cool weather most of day. Amazed at the market.
Took a trike from GMail to Chowking for my favourite Halo Halo refresher. Through that massive market.
Bought 20kg of coconut charcoal for P100

Thanks for the fishing tip. No better than Talomo then.

Wish it was here. Mind you, ... ... February was a pretty dry month for us, all told.

'Stronger' storms feared as dry spell forecast in Philippines

The disaster-haunted Philippines is likely to be hit by stronger typhoons this year as warming ocean surfaces contribute to a dry spell, the state weather service warned Wednesday.

The Asian archipelago, whipped by about 20 typhoons and storms each year, is now in the grips of the "El Nino" phenomenon that can make storms "stronger" and more "erratic", weather service chief Vicente Malano said.

"El Nino may cause the behaviour of tropical cyclones to become erratic, affecting (their) tracks and intensity," he said in an advisory, adding that the same number of storms are expected.

"The tropical cyclone tracks are expected to shift northward and (their) intensity could become stronger," Malano said.

Super Typhoon Haiyan, the strongest ever to hit land, left more than 7,350 people dead or missing in central regions of the Philippines in November 2013 as it dumped tsunami-like waves on coastlines, wiping out entire towns.

Philippine officials have blamed climate change for increasing the ferocity of recent typhoons, causing them to strike even outside the traditional rainy season of June-September and to hit once largely-untouched areas.

"El Nino" refers to the abnormal warming of surface ocean waters in the eastern tropical sections of the Pacific Ocean every three to five years.

The phenomenon, which the weather service said it began observing last December, leads to drier-than-average conditions on one side of the Pacific and wetter ones on the opposite coast.

Even though it's still frosty some nights, the milder air is creeping in during the day. Hopefully another sunny day today

Still hot and dry here in Davao City.
Have to take care not to over exert myself during the hottest part of the day, it's so easy to suffer heatstroke.

I hear that schools out for summer here for the next 3 months. Every where's get crowded with students

Most folks here are early to bed and early to rise.
I'm trying to get into that routine myself, just seems to be so much to get done right now

Heavy rains predicted next week......I'll believe it when I see it

I think our UK weather has gone to the Philippines for a holiday because it's colder today than it has been all winter!

    Summer's heating up here now.

Had a bit of excitement at GMall Bajada when a very large water pipe burst for some reason.
Hundreds of people scooping up the water and brushing it down the elevator shaft.
The next floor down is the supermarket and water was pouring through the ceiling right above the check-out area.
Just as we wanted to check out the power went at every check out computer.
    No air con either.
After waiting 20 minutes and finding out from one of the many managers running around in circles that nobody knows what's going on we joined the hundreds of others and left our trolley where it was and left.

    Now, here's the weather connection.
The expected thunderstorms didn't materials, well the outside ones, and the breeze died down to nothing with humidity levels surging.
Jeepneys were all full of sweaty people so took a taxi home.
    Yep, what wimps we are

It's more fun in the Philippines.
