To think that the photograph is created in an instant at the push of a button for a reason and then holds that special moment forever....amazing.

a picture taken near me, much of this area is built on now, i take my dog for a walk everyday in the cemetery ( top right of the picture)

how things have changed thou,the picture is of Barton Aerodrome, it was Britains first Municipal airport (built 1928 to 1930) and has (probably) the oldest purpose built control tower in the world still used for it's original purpose. For 60 years it was home to one of the oldest aero clubs in the world, Lancashire Aero Club but they have now moved
