Today on my way to work i noticed a sigh on a council van,
Rents going up in April,
If you want to stay
Make sure you can pay

I thought it rather strange to see that on their van, but as it says, cant pay, cant stay

Have they started giving them to local resident Brits who've been on the waiting list for 20 years now ?

No idea mate. ...not that I've a hope in hell of ever getting the chance to pay any, despite having lived in this town for 47 years and paid council tax for 40 of them. No old folks bungy or little retirement flat for me.
