I can only get 3 weeks off in November to get married in Cebu.
Will that be long enough to get everything done ?

Its pushing it I left 4 weeks in case anything went wrong (which it can). I had a problem with getting the time off. Just talk to HR if you cant get any joy from your line manager Im sure they will understand.
I have tried HR. They have said I can only have a maximum of three weeks.
I'm worried now.
I cant see how they can stop you. You dont get married every year. You could take unpaid leave for a week?. I saw HR and they were fine with it once I explained the situation. If all else fails drag your MP into it or go to your union.
I was lucky in my job. We have a bloke who is married to a Filipino and has at least 6 weeks off a year to go to see her.
So my line manager told me he would let me have 6 weeks off, and if our operations manager refused it then just remind him of the fact if it's good enough for one, it's good enough for all! I could have taken it to the union if it had been refused, but the union rep is the one married to the Filipino!
I got it no problem though.
I worked as a Clerical Officer with the then NHS Local Executive Council for a [very] short spell of six months in 1967 ... during which time, my fiancee's father died following a prolonged period of ill health.
I approached my boss - whose glorified title was Clerk to the Council - in order to request an afternoon off for the funeral and was informed I'd be give the choice of a mere two hours leave of absence or forfeit half a day's pay.
I opted for the latter and the bd stuck to his threat.
I very soon found another job ... not that I'm advocating you
(a Senior Charge Nurse) do anything quite so drastic, Philip ... I merely wish to point out the level of meanness to which some people "in high places" will stoop, in trying to "play God"!
With good planning in advance I believe you can do it......and still have a honeymoon.
Just be sure that ALL that can be done before you arrive IS done.
Your Fiancee will need to do the legwork etc.
The biggest 'hole' in the plan is the 10 day waiting for the marriage licence.......just be sure that the 10th day is a working day so that you'll be secure.
Make a step by step timeline and be sure to stick to it come-what-may.
If you have the budget consider a recommended wedding planner.....they can often get things squeezed up in a timeline......
I don't think you're in such a tight timescale with 3 weeks ......better not to influence the timeline and plan by 'cost-down' options. Work out by time and working days.
You'll be fine
I'm flying out May 6th, got my CNI exchange (or whatever it is called now) on the 8th. Plan to apply for the marriage license on the 12th (Monday) We were going to get married on the 31st May, but decided on the 8th June. So as Terpe said above, as long as the legwork has been done beforehand by your Fiancee then I think 3 weeks is certainly doable.....
However that is if there are no hitches!
Good luck.
The NHS , i feel for you mate, but it can be done if you want it, plan and plan again
I arrived in Phils 1st July 2012 and married 12th July so in effect 12 days then spent a further 9 days as hubby & wife...
We did it in 3 weeks too. It was tight but possible
do what lots of people do call in sick ,tell them you caught malaria or something .Like someone said its not everyday you get married .But I have heard lots of guys doing it in 3 weeks ,forward planning is the key here.
